is near. Which means I’m completing as much late homework as possible, which means I’m completely hyped up on adderall. I feel like I can conquer the world. I never want to stop doing work. Must. Study. No time for eating, sleeping, pee breaks, or petty conversation that I don’t even want to have. I’ll probably be running on empty by Sunday though which won’t be good for my exams…but I’m sure that if I stay on my adderall until my finals are done, I’ll get an A on all of them for sure which would mean I’d finally have some good grades this semester. Too bad I don’t want to take any classes next semester…looking forward to having That conversation with the parents. Buh.
On the plus side, I’m getting some really good jams in. I haven’t just listened to music in such a long time, so I’m always pleased when I stay up to do work and can just listen to some smooth jams.
I’ll post some findings as the night goes on.
…messages you and tells you that he would be happy to give you tips on the fiddle/have a fiddle jam when you know some songs, and would be keen on taking up your offer of setting him up to golf at some nice resorts in your home town next time he’s in the area… »»>
There are such genuinely nice people in the industry. Especially in the genre of folk. Who else would carry on a genuine interest in a random 20 year old trying to learn the fiddle?
For those of you Mumford & Sons fans who don’t know, he’s the fiddler they bring on their tours. He’s also played with every other folk/rock legend in the industry. Gillian Welch, Old Crow Medicine Show, Neil Young, Black Keys, and plenty more. This is the greatest day of my life.

Currently looking for a boy who looks like Marcus, smiles like Ben, has Ted’s voice, and has Winston’s personality.
YES!!! I THOUGHT I WAS THE ONLY ONE WHO LOVES TED’S VOICE!!!
Big Easy Express, a film documenting Mumford & Sons, Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros, and Old Crow Medicine Show’s railway adventures on the 2011 Railroad Revival Tour, will be screened on Thursday, April 26th at the Nashville Film Festival. If the price is a little steep for you, fear not! There is also a FREE screening at Centennial Park, open to the public, later Thursday evening. Festivities begin around 8 p.m., including a screening of some Nashville Film Festival award-winning short films.
I would do such dirty things…

I’m currently having a conversation with Ross Holmes (the fiddler/guitar player that accompanies Mumford & Sons on their tours) about what it’s like to play the fiddle, and he has given me so much good advice about learning the instrument. He’s also genuinely interested in who I’m going to go to and where I can find a good fiddle. This is almost the coolest thing that’s ever happened to me!!
is saving me right now.
